HAUTIER IP has a panel of experts at its disposal to represent you before the Unified Patent Court in litigation relating to European patents.
Two additional professional representatives are now authorised:
Mr BRONCHART Quentin, expert in microelectronics and microstructures, electronics, optics, physics and AI;
Mr LATU-ROMAIN Eddy, expert in microelectronics, physics, optoelectronics and materials science.
Almost eight months after the entry into force of the Unified Patent Court (UPC), infringement and revocation proceedings are multiplying. This concerns holders of unitary patents and/or European titles that have not been the subject of a derogation (opt-out).
Our European Patent Attorneys are at your disposal to answer your questions about the UPC and the European patent system.
Since the entry into force of the UPC in June 2023, litigation strategies in the field of European patents have been profoundly disrupted. Increasingly, infringement and invalidity disputes are brought before a single supranational court: the UPC. The advantage? Obtain a decision in less than 12 months, applicable in 17 Member States of the European Union and at a lower cost. In comparison, the traditional strategy of action at the national level (using different national courts in parallel in Europe for the same case) seems much less secure in terms of procedural and representation costs, harmony of decisions and obtaining possible damages.
Our European Attorneys are registered as patents litigators before the UPC and represents you in all infringement and invalidity proceedings relating to European patents. The registered representatives entitled to represent parties before the UPC are:
Mr. DECOBERT Jean-Pascal, partner, expert in microelectronics, MEMS NEMS, mechanics, optics and photonics, photovoltaics and sensors, batteries, energy recovery;
Mr. HAUTIER Nicolas, partner, expert in microelectronics and nanotechnology, physics, mechanics, optics and photonics, photovoltaics, renewable energy, AI;
Ms. BRIZIO-DELAPORTE Allison, expert in medical devices, biotechnology and life sciences, pharmacology, cosmetology, chemistry, energy and environment;
Ms BRENET Sophie, expert in chemistry, physics, biology, microelectronics and nanotechnologies, plasma, materials science, microfluidics, mechanics, robotics and instrumentation;
Mr. RATEL Christian, expert in mechanics, vehicle equipment, building, fasteners, computer and software, image processing, interactive graphical interface (HMI), neural networks, telecommunications, and communication protocols.
Contact us for a preliminary consultation on the UPC.
